How to Get Started
Are you interested in becoming a HWC Coordinator?
All programs need a HWC Coordinator to oversee the program locally, either for the full county or a specific school district. Coordinators attend consultation meetings with the OhioHWC Lead for support throughout the process of leading local schools and First Responders through program implementation. Click here to schedule a Q&A Meeting with the OhioHWC. During the initial 60 minute meeting, the OhioHWC Lead will review the model of fidelity, role of Coordinator, answer questions, and discuss program flexibility specific to your primary role and local communities.
Are you interested in becoming a HWC Champion?
OhioHWC Champions support program growth and success. If you are unable to become a Coordinator but would like to support the development of HWC in your community, you can be a program Champion by simply sharing this OhioHWC Summary Handout and your knowledge with colleagues. You can become a Champion by introducing others to the program during School Safety Meetings, FCFC Meetings, by taking the Handout or sharing your knowledge during a District Leadership Team Meeting, Chiefs Meeting, and more. Contact OhioHWC here if you have any questions!
